Breed Overview Information : Mixed/Other Breed Dogs or mutts developed from two different breeds. These breeds may be either mixed breed is as well or purebred. They are generally of unknown descent unlike other mixed breeds which have been recognized worldwide. Dogs will interbreed freely unless controlled by humans so mixed or other dog breeds are generally large in number. Compared to purebred dogs, mixed or other breeds are generally cheaper especially if they have not been recognized by any governing body such as the American Kennel Club.
Breed Character Information :A mixed or other breed’s character is a mixture of the two breeds that it originated from. One breed’s characteristics may be more dominant unlike other dog breeds. A mixed breed’s personality varies greatly. Some may be aggressive while some may be very gentle. Again, it usually depends on the two breeds that it developed from.
Breed Coat Information :  A mixed breed’s coat also depends on the two dog breeds it originated from. It may possess the coat of only one dog breed but in most situations, its coat is usually a mixture of both breeds from which it came from. Its coat may be high or low maintenance depending on the thickness and length. Long-haired and double coated dogs usually require daily brushing and regular bathing while short haired ones do not.  Also, those with long hair are more prone to ticks and parasites.
Breed Temperament Information :  A mixed breed’s temperament also varies depending on the two dog breeds from which it came from. Some may be aggressive and become easily peeved while others are very affectionate and loyal. Early training as a puppy and positive reinforcement will help improve a mixed breed’s temperament and will help prevent any form of behavioral problems. They should also be allowed to socialize with people and other animals to lessen their aggression.
Breed Ownership Information :Before attempting to adopt or buy a mixed breed, make sure you research on Mixed/Other dog breed information’s. By doing so, you will have an idea of a mixed breed’s personality. However, as stated earlier, a mixed breed’s personality may vary. So, it is highly recommended that you also read on the personalities of the two breeds it originated from.
Breed Activity Information :Mixed breeds, like other dog breeds need to be given daily exercises and activities to keep them from becoming idle. Giving them daily walks and free runs once in a while will help prevent disruptive behaviors from developing. As a puppy, they should already be taught how to interact well with other animals.
Breed Care Information :A mixed breed needs occasional visits to a certified veterinarian in order to determine if it is suffering from any hereditary disease. Even as a puppy, it should already be given shots and medications.
Breed Training Information :Mixed breeds generally need to be trained firmly and consistently. They mostly will not respond well to harsh training methods. They are easier to teach using prizes or any form of positive reinforcement.
