| Breed Overview Information : | The Miniature Bull Terrier was developed in order to create a breed that would have a higher level of agility. Thus, dog breeders decided to cross breed a Bulldog with an Old English Terrier with a hint of Spanish Pointer in its blood. By doing so, they were able to create the Miniature Bull Terrier Breed that could combat bulls better since it was a very popular sport during that time. It is similar to a regular Bull Terrier. The only difference is its more compact size. Miniature Bull Terriers have been used over the past years as guard dogs, watch dogs and herders. |
| Breed Character Information : | The Miniature Bull Terrier has a complex and difficult personality. It makes a fine pet when trained and socialized as a puppy. However, when the owner fails to train it in the proper way, it is likely to become dominant and aggressive. Miniature Bull Terriers are very protective and will do whatever is necessary to protect its owner. It is very loyal and develops a strong attachment to its owner.
