They were bred in order to produce a smaller Australian Shepherd probably to match today’s lifestyle where smaller is mostly preferred without taking for granted its herding abilities. The Miniature Australian Shepherd is excellent in herding. Unlike other dog breeds, it is a silent worker. It does not bark excessively when working. |
