This breed is an all purpose hunter, able to work in any terrain type. The German Wirehaired Pointer is unique among the dog breeds because they display a combination of the skills/qualities of a retriever, a spaniel,a and a pointer, just like its counter part, the German Shorthaired Pointer. It is definitely not a “small dogs” family member because of its medium body size. |
