| Breed Overview Information : | Probably one of the oldest dog breeds, the Dandi Dinmont Terriers are believed to have the now extinct Scotch Terrier as their ancestor. The Dandi Dinmont puppy got its name from Sir Walter Scott’s novel entitled “Guy Mannering.” Its main use in the past was as a hunting dog for searching for badgers, rabbits etc. that were considered as farm pests. |
