Breed Overview Information :  

Cesky Terriers are short-legged dog breeds resembling a little of the Sealyham Terrier. It’s got a shaggy beard and a mustache.

 

This small terrier is originated in Czechoslovakia. Its existence owing to a Czechoslovakian breeder,called Frantisek Horak. These breed is similar to Sealyham and Scottish Terriers and, maybe, other terrier breeds also.
Breed Character Information :  

The Cesky Terrier is one sociable dog. It easily gets along well with other dogs and household animals.  It also serves as an excellent companion dog during travels. This type of dog is capable of playing with children and at the same time an attentive and intimidating house guard.

Breed Coat Information : Puppies are born black most of the time, though they may grow with other colors. Those colors may begray, white or yellow, and light coffee. Lightening of the coat’s color begins at the age of two years. Skin pigments are gray for blue-gray dogs and flesh for brown dog breeds.
Breed Temperament Information :  

Its playfulness and mischievousness makes it a very adorable and small dog. Other terriers are more difficult to train compared to these dogs.

 

A puppy should be able to experience different situations to help in the development of its character as an adult. They don’t have any issues with strangers, though.

Breed Ownership Information :  Apartment living suits this dog very well. These small dogs can be active whether inside or outside the house.
Breed Activity Information :  Cesky Terriers do not usually need a lot of exercise. They are usually contented with a little amount of playtime or running around in open fields. Daily long walks are also recommended. Owners can also choose to bring them along in their jogs and other activities.
Breed Care Information :  

Dog should undergo professional trimming every three months. Folds around the ears should be frequently checked for any infections. If ever you would see your pet scratching its ears or having abnormal and stinky secretions coming out of it, these may be taken as signs of irritation. Don’t wait for this to happen: have your dog’s ears cleaned regularly.

 

Genetic diseases are not common for these types of dogs. But like many other dog breeds, they should have regular visits to the vet.
Breed Training Information :  

Most of this responsive dogs are quite easy to train compared to other dog breeds. A relationship with its owner should be developed since a puppy.

 

Consistent and positive training brings out more of their obedient nature. Harsh tactics should not be used and need not be used. These dogs LOVE food, so it would be best for one to keep his/her food and trash in hard-to-reach areas. Do not leave food lying around, or else… I think you already know what will happen.
