The Belgian Tervuren is one of the four varieties of the Belgian sheepdog. It got its name from the village of Tervuren in Belgium. The other varieties include Groenendael, Laekenois and Malinois. Although, among these four, the Belgian Tervuren and Groenendel are mostly used as companions dogs, while the other two works best as guard dogs.
