Breed Overview Information :The Beaglier, like the Beagle, is a crossbreed. It came from the crossing of the Beagle and the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. They are one of the small dogs and dog breeds referred to as designer dogs. These small dogs are ever so popular in Australia.
Breed Character Information :

The Beaglier, as one of many small dogs, can be small to medium in its size. It has attained the size of the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and the scent hound ability of the Beagle. Like the Beagle, the Beaglier has large and expressive eyes. Like many dog breeds, they are very lively, energetic and athletic. They are as cute as the Beagle in appearance. They are very loving to their families especially with children.

Breed Coat Information : 

The coat of the Beaglier can be medium to short in length. Its hair is close and hard. It can also be wavy and silky.

Breed Temperament Information :The Beaglier’s temperament is very even. These small dogs are playful, gentle, loving, and good in nature. They are just a few of the dog breeds that are curious with their surroundings. They are affectionate, considerate, peaceful, calm, and outgoing with people and their families especially with children. Like many energetic dog breeds that are energetic, the do not do well when they are left alone in long periods of time. They become tiresome when no one is paying attention to them. Aside from doing well with children, they do best with older and considerate children. They also do well with other pets and dogs, but are not recommended with not canine dogs. They are good watchdogs as they bark regularly and normally to alert their family or owner to strangers or out of the ordinary sounds.
Breed Ownership Information :The Beaglier is best for families with adult children who can show consideration to these small dogs. Any kind of owners can own a Beaglier for it has an even temper. It can also be good for a family who do not have watchdogs for it alerts its family or owner when there is a stranger around or a unfamiliar sounds.
Breed Activity Information : 

The Beaglier does well in apartments given that they have enough exercise and proper training while in the apartment. They are very energetic like other dog breeds. It is recommended that they be given ample space and area for them to romp and run in. They love leashed walks and family activities, which make them happy and not bored. Due to their hunting instinct, they should not be left in any unsecured areas. As a puppy, playing is a must with proper obedience training.

Breed Care Information :Brushing is recommended regularly to remove dead or loose hair. Bathing should only be done to the Beaglier when it is totally necessary. Its ears should be checked regularly and be kept clean. Like other small dogs, the Beaglier is prone to health problems such as heart disease, patella luxation, epilepsy, and a dog ear infection.
Breed Training Information : 

Like most small dogs, the Beaglier can be stubborn. Early interaction and socialization is needed as early as a puppy. Obedience training is also required with this breed for it tends to loose attention to its owner when it smells something else and catches its attention. Beagliers will not respond to hard and harsh methods. Training should be accompanied with fairness, firmness, tenderness, consistency and patience.
