| Breed Overview Information : | The Alaskan Klee Kai is a relatively new breed. It was developed in the 1970’s in Alaska to provide excellent companionship. It resembles the Siberian Husky; however, the Alaskan Klee Kai is somewhat smaller. They are available in three sizes: toy, miniature and standard. The Toy Alaskan Klee Kai is usually 13 inches in height and 10 pounds in weight. The Miniature Alaskan Klee Kai, on the other hand is 15 inches tall and weighs 15 pounds. Lastly, the Standard Alaskan Klee Kai is usually 17 inches and weighs a little over 20 pounds. Due to their more compact size, this breed is increasing in popularity. |

However, they may not be too welcoming to other dog breeds and animals they do not know.
